I'm done with work! Last day of work today. Guess what happened??
The story goes like this. It's my last day of work, and I'm racing time to finish all my work, cos I won't be going in next week and if I don't finish it, it's just going to end up in the trays for weeks, probably months. And for goodness knows what reason, I thought to myself : 'I wonder what will happen if the door got stuck'.
Then about 10 minutes later.....the door really got stuck. None of us could go out. We were stuck in the office for a good half an hour to 45 minutes. Am I psychic? HAHA! It was definitely pure coincidence, but I like to think I was psychic for 5 seconds. :D
It was actually pretty funny, cos the maintenance people were trying their best to teach us how to break the knob. It was really confusing. They even had to go to the office next door, take pictures of the door knob, and show us through the window where to find some pin that needed to be pushed.
What a way to end my last day at work.
So many choices
Thursday, January 28, 2010 by anusha
It's good to have choices. With choices come the opportunity to make a decision. An opportunity to live the way you want to.
But there are times when I just can't stand making decisions!
For example, deciding on what to study.
If you know me well, you'd know how indecisive I am. Since Form 5, which was 3 years ago, I've changed my mind about what I want to do a million times. It's perfectly normal, a lot of people go through the same thing, but it's tiring. Really really tiring.
I had finally decided to do finance. I'm pretty sure this time. I felt so relieved! Like finally! Things will be so easy from now. Or so I thought.
Now I have to decide, whether I want to do accounting or finance. And there's actually a difference between accounting and accountancy. Then, there's this new thing my mum told me about, Chartered Secretary. So now, I have to make a decision again.
And then I realised, once I've made that decision, I have to decide where I'm going to do it.
There's really no end to this huh? Life is really all about choices, and the decisions you make. Which is something I'm going to have to get used to, I guess.

FOOD
Saturday, January 16, 2010 by anusha
Yesterday was all about food for me.
Went to Taylor's Lakeside Campus Open Day just to see the place. Ended up having free lunch. And it was so good. Especially the dessert. Both my mum and I got so excited the minute we tasted the food. For starters, there was prawn salad, potato and tuna salad, and 3 other salads ( forgot the names). Then there was roasted chicken with mushroom sauce, sauteed potatoes, dory fish with herb butter sauce. Your mouth watering yet? Oh and there was lamb. WHICH WAS GOOD!!!!
And for dessert, there was cake with butter icing, there were small little round blocks of cheesecake which was mouth watering. No seriously, my mouth actually started watering. And the cupcakes!! Carrot cupcakes with the most amazing chocolate icing on top! I regretted eating so much before that. Haha. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, so no pictures.
I went to Pyramid after that. First stop, J.Co, one chocolate doughnut (chocolate again omg)
Then we walked around, and ended up at Cupcake chic. I had Fatal Attraction. SO GOOD! (again, chocolate)
And then we went to Fullhouse. Had pasta. I loved the sauce. YUMMYY!!The chicken was good as well. Could have been bigger though.
It doesn't stop there. We then had a chocolate eclair pretzel. YES! CHOCOLATE AGAIN!!!
But I had a good time =)
Also, I've come to a conclusion about something. Chocolates really do make me happy, no matter what the occasion. I've always loved chocs, and I tend to eat a lot of it whenever I'm feeling down. But I never really believed that it can make people happy(chocolates supposedly trigger the release of the 'happy hormone') Now I know it's true, for me at least :D
Time to go on a diet!!
By the way,

We're all mad in our own way

Who's to say the darkened clouds must lead to rain
Who's to say the problems should just go away
Who's to point a finger at what's not understood
Because, we're all mad in our own way
Colours paint the grey away
Different people all the same
Each reveals the meaning
We're all mad in our own way
Fill the sky with different shades
Read the story on each page
Each reveals the meaning
It's my 2nd week at work, and it's really not as bad as I expected. I have actually learned quite a bit. I've seen what goes on in a finance office, I kind of understand how things work.
But the hours! Working 9 to 6 everyday is tiring! It really takes time getting used to that kind of hours. By the end of the first week, the only thing you want to do is sit and do nothing. But I'm getting a bit used to it now, so it's not so bad.
At least I don't hate waking up so early, for now. Haha!

Tomorrow will be my first day at work! :)
I'm going to work at INTI. Yes, good ol' INTI. Going to be working at the finance office. Not sure what to expect.
Felt good to go back to college today. Familiar grounds. Met up with people whom I haven't seen in a month! Yeay!!
I'm happy today

-Today I realized that my mechanical pencil doubles as a pen. I literally fell off my bed in excitement. MLIA
-Today while snowboarding, I heard someone make a braking noise as they stopped at the bottom of the slope. Expecting to see a kid, laughed when I turned and saw it was an older woman. She shrugged and said, "What? Sound effects are completely necessary." MLIA
-Today, we were drawing food chains in biology class. I drew grass, then an arrow pointing to a unicorn, then another one to Voldemort. Genius? Yes. MLIA.
-Today, I went on a first date and thought we were just going to watch a movie. We did, but my date also included making chocolate-chip cookies and a pillow fight. We're both in our twenties and he attends military school. He's a keeper for sure. MLIA
-A while ago, I wrote a two-page paper due eighth period during my seventh period study hall. The topic? Procrastination. MLIA
-Last night, I was quietly walking upstairs to go to bed when I overheard a conversation in my parents room. My dad asked "Do you wanna go? Real quick" to which my mom replied "But the kids are still up". I looked in the room to find my dad setting up 2 PacMan controllers that I've never seen in my life. We stayed up all night playing. I love my parents. MLIA.
-This Thanksgiving break I saw New moon with the girls in the family (I am a girl). We jokingly asked the guys if they wanted to come see it and they responded that they wouldn't because it was a chick flick. We came home to find them watching The Proposal. MLIA.
-Today my mom was telling me how my dog was stupid. Her dog ran by and slid into a wall. MLIA
