HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE! =)

We were classmates for 5 years. And we're
best friends 3 years and counting. Our friendship has lasted despite the fact that we don't see each other much anymore. I used to see you, Ping Yee, and Pui Yee and Ee Von everyday. Now I only see you twice a week, and I don't even get to see PY, PY and EV anymore.....I miss the times the four of us had.....I miss high school..

We've had some pretty good times together. You've always been there for me. You've always supported me in whatever I do. Even today, you encourage me to achieve the best for myself. And for that I thank you.

Very soon we'll be going our seperate ways. You'll be going to Australia to study dentistry
(if i remember correctly :P ) And I'll be going elsewhere to study something....haha...yes i still haven't decided. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that I hope in the future, no matter where we'll be, we'll always be friends. =)

Have an awesome day!

Together we made it
We made it even though we had our backs
Up against the wall (come on)
Forever we waited (ah hah)
And they told us we were never gonna
Get it all we took it on the road
To the riches (on the road)
To the ghetto (on the road)
In the projects, to this bangin' instrumental (on the road)
Rise with me (on the road)
Come and get it (on the road)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

The chorus had me thinking. I realized that at this point, failure is not an option.......

My mum and her awesome-ness

Tuesday, July 22, 2008

My mum is most famous for her cooking in the family. She's always trying out new stuff, and it always turns out well even from the first try.....that just shows how good she is in the kitchen.
Today, she made steamed dumplings! :D When eaten with chili sauce, fuh! it's really yummy! Ahhhh, i love my mum's cooking, especially when she bakes! :) My mum is the queen of the kitchen! haha

The steamed dumplings with meat in it......yum!

SPCA

Sunday, July 20, 2008

The first thought that came to my mind when I stepped out of the bus was :What have you gotten yourself into! Get back in the bus! The stench was horrible! I could smell pee from where we were standing, which was like 100m away from SPCA.....needless to say, the closer we got to the place, the worse the smell. Thank goodness it wasn't long before my nose got immune to the smell. Our first task was to shred chicken. *HUH?!* It's like this, the volunteers at SPCA boil loads and loads of chicken for the puppies. But the puppies can't eat chicken from the bones, because they might choke on the bones and die. So we had to remove the chicken from the bones. I think we were removing chicken for nearly an hour! There was A LOT of chicken.Us removing chicken from the bones. *Kash, me, Ju Wenn, Susan*

After feeding the puppies, we helped the guys with painting. That was fun. We ended up playing the fool though, painting everyone blue. And one of
the dogs came on poo-ed right where we were painting. Everyone kept on stepping on it by accident. It was so funny! Everytime someone walked towards us all of us would shout "CAREFUL!!! NOOOOO!! DON'T STEP ON IT!!!" Hahaha..

After lunch, I bathed a dog! I had to be careful with the dog I took because they said that a cobra had once spat in its eyes or something. So I had to make sure no soap got into it's eyes.

I saw an albino dog! I didn't know they existed. I always thought there were albino humans, but not albino animals.

The puppies were adorable. I could not stop playing with them.

There were a few of these around.....in memories of the dogs.....

awww...this dog was adorable

Black n white....

Aren't you gonna come in?

The puppies! CUTEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cat...there were very few cats there. They weren't very friendly, kept hissing at us...

Group picture at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, I was really glad I went :)

Out the whole day!

Saturday, July 19, 2008

Today was a really long day. I went to college at 8 in the morning and came back around 10.30 at night.......Yeap, out of the house the whole day. It was fun! :D

Me and a few classmates, all together around 15 of us I think, went to Pyramid to celebrate Kai Bing's birthday which was last Wednesday. Batman was a really good movie. I have to say, it wouldn't have been really good if it wasn't for the Joker. Heath Ledger did a really good job as the Joker. He was funny, crazy, psychotic and violent all at the same time. Heheh. A movie worth watching.

Then we went to Friday's for dinner! hahah...I shared the 3 course meal with Amanda. Was very full after that.Amanda......and roy at the back

I liked the stuff on the wall...

My main course....sizzling chicken an cheese!

chocolate malt cake. my goodness this was full of chocolate....!!!!!

hahahah, kai bing had to give a speech. we caught her by surprise ;P

I feel like we are all becoming closer to each other, and that makes me happy. Tonight I feel like our friendship is growing stronger. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAI BING!

Rest in peace..

Yesterday afternoon I received news that my high school teacher, Mr Guna, passed away.
I never really knew him because he didn't teach me during those 5 years, but the point is, he was part of SMK Seafield.
I hope that he left this world peacefully.
May his soul rest in peace.

IT

Sunday, July 6, 2008

IT wasn't good
IT did not serve its purpose
IT was VERY MUCH on the boring side
IT could have been so much better, if the people cared.
What's wrong with people these days? People only care about themselves, nobody else in this world matters.
WAKE UP! And realise that there ARE in fact others in this world! STOP BEING SELFISH!

On a lighter note, me, my sister and dad went for dinner last night. It was my cousin's birthday dinner. (Happy Birthday Karina! =D ) We went to a Chinese restaurant "Lala Chong". Yes, the name is funny, but the food was not too bad. I've had better, but the food was still satisfying. Got to meet up with cousins. It was nice to see them again.
We had butter prawns, and sweet & sour crabs, and lemon chicken, and claypot tofu. Is your mouth watering yet??? :P
Oh, and I had white wine :D Thanks daddy! hehe Then it time to cut the cake. It was delicious. Well, of course it was, my mum made it! HAHA! It was chocolate cake, with chocolate glaze and a bit of icing as decoration. I didn't know my mum could decorate cakes! I didn't take any pictures, didn't think of it. But I'm sure my mum will make better ones, then I'll start putting pictures.

My dad let me try a bit of stout last night. OH goodness, how do you people drink that stuff! It tasted horrible! Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit, but it honestly did not taste good. I think beer tastes much better. And I don't exactly like beer either, I'm a wine person :D hahaha....

me and my sis before leaving.

Charity Car Wash

Saturday, July 5, 2008

INTI's Rotaract club organized a charity car wash on Friday and Saturday. It was really really fun!!!! Haha. I am not sure of how many cars we washed, or how much we earned, but I think we did really well. All the members were constantly washing cars the whole time. I only managed to wash a few cars because I was one of them who were going around asking people if they wanted their car washed. It wasn't the best thing to do, I would have preferred to have washed cars the whole time, but hey, someone's got to do the job right? Otherwise we wouldn't have had any cars to wash. A group of us went around asking, while another group washed cars. Some were quite rude, others were really nice. Well, the world is full of different kinds of people, right? All in all I think this project was a success.

Another project the club organized was the Personal Grooming Talk, that was held last Wednesday. The talk was conducted by Ms Nor Bahiyah Lasim, from Polished Etiquette and Image. The talk, I can proudly say, was a success :D I was the one who organized it, by the way...hehe...
It was fun, the turnout was good, and the speaker was really nice. And it was my first event! SO yes, I am happy! I will be organizing 2 more talks by this year. Topics will be decided soon!

A few pics I took during the car wash............
