When I first heard Cirque Du Freak was out, I was super excited. I remember a few years back I read all 6 books, Cirque Du Freak being the first book. Darren Shan did a really good job. I used to be hooked to the books, it was full of adventure and action. And I loved the storyline.
For a while I was having doubts. I kept hoping and hoping that the movie does the book justice. And then I heard the storyline in the movie is different. My reaction? :
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Whyyy??! Why couldn't they stick to the original storyline??
And then I watched the trailer.
Bloody hell they changed the whole thing. In the book, he wasn't ASKED if he wanted to become a vampire, he didn't SMILE AND SAY YES. He was forced to. If he didn't, he would have lost his friend. And in the book he didn't exactly enjoy being a vampire. Based on what I watched, it looks like he's having the time of his life......
And I don't remember him coming out from a coffin. Goodness knows what else they changed.
BUT, there seem to be a few good reviews about the movie, a handful of bad reviews as well, but at least there are some good ones, so I guess there is still hope left.
Of food and decisions

My holidays have been very eventful. Week after week I was either going somewhere or there were people staying with us. I enjoyed it. And yes, my holidays were mostly about good food and making decisions about my life.
I miss Ipoh food! The butter fish! The special taufu! The home-made pizzas! The fried chicken! THE COFFEE!!!!
Oh! I made chocolate fudge! Hell yeah. It turned out awesome. And it's super easy to make. Although, I think I should go easy on the condensed milk the next I make fudge. Heaven I tell you!
Swensen's burgers are good! AND THE BANANA CRUMBLE DESSERT!! SO NICE!
I'm craving for more burgers with huge patties, and french fries, and pizzas.
If I keep this up I'll be round by the end of next month -.-
Just like that, 2009 is about to come to and end, and 2010 is just around the corner. I wonder what surprises 2010 has waiting for me.
I was reading about Financial Planning. Imagine being the one in charge of giving suggestions on how the company should spend their money, being the one who suggests budgets for projects, the one who manages the company's money with the help of the accountant. Sounds interesting no?

Hectic Holidays

Looks like I won't be blogging for a short while.
My holidays are turning out to be fun. Really fun. Everyday there is something new happening. And it just goes on and on. One thing ends and the very next day something else starts.
But I want to do my own things, at my own time, sitting at my own desk, in front of my own computer, or reading in my own bed, or going out and doing the things I want to do every now and then. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm tired.
Can I have a break from this really hectic holiday please? :)

Laugh like you've never laughed before

Who knew Subang Parade could be so much fun?! At first we were just walking around trying to pass time. And then we decided to go to MPH and read a bit. Then I saw Toys R Us. And I thought why not go there? The worst that could happen is we walk out unsatisfied and just go to MPH. Little did I know we would have so much fun. We were the biggest kids there. Pressing all the buttons that said 'Try Me!' The toys they come up with nowadays! There was this robot dog, that had a screen for a face. Basically you talk to it, and command it to do things. First we said 'shake hands', and it's little robotic paw moved up and down. And then we said 'munch', and the little mouth on the screen started munching and we could see food crumbs falling out, as if it was really eating something. SO COOL! There were guns! And masks that would change voices! And so many more. We were laughing so hard by the time we got out.
And then we saw the arcade. Even more fun. Shooting is so fun! I lasted the longest. HA! I so rule shooting. Haha. I lost at racing though :(
And you know that game where you have to whack the target with a hammer real hard and see what your score is. One of us reset the high score! WOO!
After that, we played badminton. We were kinda just playing as fast as we could cos the clouds were getting really dark and the wind was so strong. 2 minutes into the game, and I slipped and fell into the mud. I'm such a clutz. Got mud all over my pants. And we were practically screaming at each other cos we couldn't hear anything.
Then we went for dinner at Sumo. Awesome food. I think we laughed more than we ate though. We laughed at the truck. We laughed at the picture. We laughed at the puffer fish. And from plotting how to steal the chopsticks, we went to planning how to break open the boat, and then thought it would be better to just steal it. Then it went on to us thinking why not just steal the whole table, the picture, the boat, the chopsticks, the mug, the puffer fish, load it all up into the truck and drive off before anyone sees. This may not sound funny to you, but we were laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. And then we joked that they probably wanted us out of the shop quick, they might just let us walk out for free. So we called for the bill. You should have seen the look on the waitress' face and heard the way she said " Oh yes yes!" HAHAHAHA. And yes of course we paid. And no we didn't steal anything :)
HAI!!!

My cousin just recently got married. Congratulations Geetha and Raj!
The family is now bigger :)
She was the eldest girl among us cousins. It feels weird knowing she's married now, and one day will have a family of her own. She grew up so fast! *sniffs* HAHA
I have only attended Punjabi weddings on the grooms side. And I used to think it was very complicated! The wedding would go on for 2 or 3 days. And all the relatives would stay over weeks before the wedding, busy with the preparation.
BUT! Did you know that for the bride's side, the wedding goes on for FOUR days! There are so many more traditions! Yes very tiring, but SO MUCH fun :D
I remember we were all really tired even before the wedding, everyone was wondering how we were going to get through the week, and before we knew it the wedding was over, and no one felt a thing. That's how much fun we had.
Unfortunately, I have no pictures yet. Didn't take the camera cos I knew I wouldn't really have the time.
Ever felt like for a while you didnt really know your family well, and all it took was just one function to realize that you get along with them really well and have a lot to talk about like you've known each other for years? I have, and I'm loving it.
