Yes, I have succeeded in changing my layout yet one more time. :P
I have a feeling I won't be changing the layout anymore for a very long time. I like this one. It's going to stay for at least a year, maybe 2, maybe 3. Haha. :)
The longest 4 days ever
Thursday, January 29, 2009 by anusha
Oh my goodness! The past 4 days have been the most tiring days ever. My daily routine had been go to work at 10 in the morning, come back from work at 10 at night, sleep. But I enjoyed every moment of it. I got to meet all kinds of people. British, Americans, Arabians, people from Uzbekistan, Japanese, Korean, Chinese ( as in Chinese from China ), and Australians.
The one thing I've come to realize in these 4 days is that somehow too many things have become common now. The most common thing has got to be Louis Vuitton bags. Some may be fake, some may be real, all may be fake or all may be real. I don't know. But the point is, the bags were everywhere. Some even had LV shawls and LV sling bags. Honestly, I don't really get why everyone likes LV. Sorry to all LV lovers out there but I don't like the design very much.
The other thing that has become real common is the MUFC T-shirt. This I can understand. Haha! And, for some reason or other, A LOT of guys seem to like green and white striped T-shirts.
Then there are things that go without saying, like the pair of slippers that have become way too common.
Also, within these 4 days, I have found possibly the most annoying thing ever. And it was right in front of the shop I was working in.
That THING.....that.....car?? SO ANNOYING!!! The noise it makes! Monday and Tuesday was the worst. That thing was just making noise from 10 to 10 non-stop. Argh! Why do kids like it so much??? I mean the sounds it made were like from a broken recorder! Imagine Tarzan's voice from a broken recorder! Annoying right? But, they liked it.
Other than this annoying thing, work wasn't that bad I guess :)

1 week off!
Friday, January 23, 2009 by anusha
Yes, as the title says, I have ONE WEEK OFF!! :D
But. I'm won't be that free during the holidays. First off, I'll be working at KLCC. It's going to be a whole day thing. The bright side is in a way I'll be getting ang pau as well :D So from Sunday to Wednesday I'll be busy busy busy and real tired at night. I'm not complaining. I'm glad I have something to do other than sitting at home.
Also, the lecturers found it convenient to dump homework on us because we have such a long break. I honestly have a lot of homework. Especially statistics and maths. The two subjects that have become really complicated.
Oh and HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to those who celebrate :)
ANd to those who don't HAPPY HOLIDAYS! :D
PS : I was browsing through the internet and found this
Hahaha!

Confusion
Sunday, January 11, 2009 by anusha
I'm at a point where I have absolutely NO idea what I want in life. I'm not proud of it, but it's the truth. I am stuck. I listen to someone and I get interested in whatever they're talking about because of the passion they have. And then I listen to yet another passionate person and get interested in what they are talking about. And then suddenly I realize I'm getting myself "interested" in everything. And so I sit down and I read and I ponder and I shorten the list to the things I think I am really interested in. It feels like a huge burden is lifted, because now I just have to find out more information, and decide what I want. I think to myself : "I'm almost there."
Next thing I know, my list gets longer once again. Not too long, just an addition of one or two things. The problem is, it was supposed to get shorter. I shouldn't be upset. Because this is my future we're talking about. I should always always leave my options open. But I'm becoming impatient. No matter how much I tell myself not too, each day I'm becoming more and more tired of being stuck. It's like I have no purpose. I want to make a decision. Fast.
Then I start getting worried. What if I make the wrong decision? My dad has told me that I can't think that way. Because if I keep asking myself that then I may never make a decision. He has a point.
I'm not going to rush myself. Neither am I going to take my time about it. It's just surprisingly difficult. I honestly envy people who know exactly what they want and how to get there.
Why is it so hard for me to make a decision????

Back to normal
Wednesday, January 7, 2009 by anusha
Yeap, as the title says, things are now back to normal. Classes have started, no more sleeping in, you know what I mean. In a way I feel comfortable having some sort of routine in life.
This year is going to be a busy year. I have 2 external papers coming up, plus my piano exams. Doesn't sound like much, but trust me, it is going to be tough. I'm not complaining though. What's life without a challenge? Its weird though, going back to college knowing we're seniors now despite the fact that we've only been in college for half a year.
I miss the holidays :(

Ipoh
Thursday, January 1, 2009 by anusha
Ipoh was fun! I know I know, when is it not right? Although, this time around, the weather was kinda crappy. It was raining heavily every evening, causing floods everywhere.
Needless to say I ate like a pig, again.
There was this one particular night when there was just SO MUCH food on the table. The whole table was full of dishes!! There were more than 10 dishes! There were a lot of people at the table too, but we all still ended up tremendously full.
Slight proof that I did indeed eat a lot. Hehe.
Whatever weight I lost in the past month or so I put back on in less than 7 days. Bad. Really bad. The highlight of my trip this year would be the visit to Taiping Zoo!!
In this picture there are two little animals. The one on the left is a bird. A regular bird. And the one on the right is a mouse deer. I always knew mouse deers were small, i didn't know they were THIS SMALL!! IT IS FREAKING SMALL!!! Which is kinda cute in a way.
And then we saw orang utans and chimpanzees and other monkeys!! Our "cousins"! Hehe. I like the last picture. Its like a whole family of monkeys sitting on a bed and having a discussion of some sort.
After that we saw a crocodile!! This was a bit scary. I saw the crocodile way out in the water, only its snout sticking out. So I thought it was perfectly safe to go near. And so I go right to the fence. To my uttermost horror there was a huge crocodile right under my nose!! Isn't that dangerous?? I mean what if the crocodile was just playing dead, the fence was kinda low, meaning the crocodile could have jumped if it wanted to. =/
Next were deers. They were adorable! I saw a few chewing on the leaves outside the fence.
These my dear readers are called SAMBAR deers. Nice name. Haha!
Otters! They were probably the happiest animals there. The minute we came near them they dived into the water came right to the glass and did what looked like a dance for us. And then once their little show was over they'd go sunbathe on the logs. Haha!
We also saw ostriches and and zebras and giraffes and a cow with extremely huge horns and a malayan sun bear a tiger a lion a black panther a camel a hippopotamus and the list goes on.
Gosh I think I've put enough pictures up. Taiping Zoo was not the only place I visited. I went to Hospital Bahagia, where my mum and her family have a lot of memories, and I must say the place is really beautiful. Loved what they've done with it. It was a bittersweet experience :)
OH on the way back, something unusual happened. Haha. We were near the Lembah Beringin exit and suddenly we see a whole bunch of cars going the opposite direction. As in cars from in front had turned back and were making a U-turn into Lembah Beringin. We were just plain confused and my cousin tought maybe we should do the same cos there must be a reason for all this. And then just before we turned we realised that as far as we knew there were no exits to KL from Lembah Beringin. So we turned back. We were freaking stuck in a jam for one whole hour. No joke. Turns out there was an accident. Pretty bad too. There was aa huge lorry and a car involved. There was a hole in the lorry, but the car looked unharmed. Weird.
So much for trying to avoid new year's eve jam. :P
ps: sry about the pictures, don't know why they went out of proportion like that
