Happy Earth Day!

Actually, Earth Day was yesterday. I, sadly, did not do anything to honor this day. Yes, yes, I should have been a more responsible person. Actually, we should all be more responsible. We shouldn't only care for the earth on that one day. We should care for the earth every single day.

Just the other day, I was thinking about the damage air-conditions have on the atmosphere. Every single air-cond is releasing CFC into the air, we are all aware of that. But think about it, the hotter the air gets, the more people use air-conds. People all over are installing more and more units in their houses. Each day, every house has more than one air-cond on. Now, the more air-conds we use, the more CFC is released into the air, the hotter the air becomes. It's like a whole cycle, "damage cycle". We use more air-conds, air becomes hotter, again we use more air-conds......it goes on! Maybe it's time we start reducing the use of air-conds. We just switch on the air-cond for a while till the room cools down, and then switch it off and use the fan.

The latest craze of today, at least among my circle of friends, are......donuts!! YUMMYYYYYYY!
I love love love donuts. I am now a big huge J.Co fan. Love the tiramisu flavour, and the one that looks like oreo biscuits. YUmmy!


There's also Big Apple in Parade. Haven't tried those. As far as I know, right now nothing beats J.CO.

For even better donuts, try Krispy Kreme. Those donuts are different from other donuts. The ones I had were of such good quality. I miss it soooooo muuch!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I especially like the glazed chocolate cake :D It's the one right at the top at the right-hand corner.

Choc chip scones....yummy..

Day before yesterday, I made chocolate chip scones. It was a success! YUMMY!!!!! I didn't make much, just about 12 scones. It finished yesterday, hehe.

And just now my mum made 2 loafs of bread!!! Orange bread and milk bread. The milk bread rose so high it nearly touched the top of the oven! Luckily my mum took it out in time or else the heating element at the top would have burnt the bread. Can't wait to try the bread! I would post pictures but the camera isn't working, so too bad, no pictures of the awesome bread...hehe...

Math

A thought came to me the other day. What if I major in math?


no, I'm not your average nerd...

I find math very interesting. When you get a tough question, you try and try and try to solve it........and then, VOILA!, you solve it! I used to get so satisfied in school when I could solve a problem. It didn't matter that others solved it quicker than me. The fact is, I did it. :)

I did some research online and read how mathematicians have career opportunities in ALL industries. Most mathematicians are involved in the research area of companies. They are like the logic behind the company.

The best part of it is if I major in math, I could do anything I want! Well, most of what I want, if not everything. I could go into computing, I could go into finance, business, or even in the science field. I read that most companies prefer to hire mathematicians than programmers to do their programming. I suppose it's because mathematicians are assumed to be very logical people.

I'm not saying that math is my passion. It might be, I don't know. But math is something that I enjoy doing. I can't say I DEFINITELY like accounting or computer science, but for math, I can safely say that it is something I am DEFINITELY interested in.



ooh! ooh! I could even solve crimes like that guy in "Numbers"! That would be interesting.....
