I am in London!!! Have been for the past 2 weeks! I am liking London. I'm staying in Kingston. It's a really nice place, except for the fact that it is very near the Thames River. Thus, the winds here are quite strong, lowering the temperature drastically.
So far, I have been to the National History Museum, Madame Tussaud's, Leceister Square and Oxford Street. The National History Museum was really cool. Anyone going to London should definitely go there. Awesome place. Madame Tussaud's was another excellent place. The highlight of the place was not the taking a picture with Orlando Bloom's wax statue, but was the 'Chamber of Horrors'. I thought it was a display of the many ways execution was carried out. The 'Chamber of Horrors' was in fact a "haunted house. I ain't kidding. One of the actors came so close to me I was actually looking right into his eye. Boy did I scream. And to think we were warned not to touch the actors. How ironic is that. For those who do not mind a scare once in a while, the 'Chamber of horrors' is a place not to be missed.
Most of my time is being spent in Kingston. I'm starting to like this place. It's a very modern and fashionable place. Dorothy Perkins, Accesorize, and places like these are just 5 minutes away. Hehehehe.
Food here is great. Heavy helpings though. Brits love carbs. Everything has 50% carbo in it and about 25% each of meat and vege. The thing is, London is a very pedestrian friendly area. 90% of people walk. Not many people use cars and public transport. And they don't snack much. So having heavy meals is probably ideal for their type of lifestyle.
